The WPJA contest judges presented Joelle Susan, a South Carolina, United States wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.

- What makes this photo is that the photographer didn't just zoom in on the woman crying. You see that she is turned away from what the rest of the party is watching - the couple walking towards them. I like seeing the couple in the background. Makes for a great photo.
